AM
“...well-crafted songs that recall a host of A-list references from Jackson Browne to Todd Rundgren and Ray Davies. You hear that New Orleans signature in the deep background, in the laconic realizations of the lyrics, the easy-drifting grooves and sturdy, familiar melodies.” – Offbeat Magazine

EEF BARZELAY
“Under filmmaker (Jeffrey) Blitz’s (Rocket Science) gifted guidance, technical contributions soar, most prominently composer Eef Barzelay’s smartly wacky score, which splendidly counterpoints Hal’s uncertain world of New Jersey teen-life.” – Hollywood Reporter

JESSIE BAYLIN
“Live, she is a vision to behold; with clenched fists, bare feet, and blonde waves clouding her face, she channels the unbridled energy of a boiling teakettle” – Nylon Magazine

DAN BERN (Walk Hard Songwriters)
“Thanks to Dan Bern, after thirty years, folk is finally relevant again. Bern couples his songwriting skills with an ability to lock into an audience and make them hang on his every word.” – Rolling Stone

PADDY CASEY
“...a steaming, funky, sexy beast of an album... a million Mercury prizes can’t buy the effortless tune-smithery Casey has in his DNA.” – Sunday Tribune Review, Ireland

QUINCY COLEMAN
“(Quincy has)... all the goods, a beautiful voice, such sweet emotion and tenderness... very talented.” – Dolly Parton

WILL DAILEY
“(Dailey) has the songwriting chops to compete... Dailey’s break may have come on TV, but with his talent, radio can’t be far behind.” – Boston Herald

GAVIN DEGRAW
“His enthusiastic blend of pop, soul and R&B is a good match for his powerful voice and inspired piano playing; it’s a mix of genres that he slips into like a pair of comfy shoes.” – Hollywood Reporter

BRETT DENNON
“The first time you hear Brett Dennen, it’s his voice that stops you short and makes you pay attention.” - NPR

ESKIMO JOE
“Hot Australian band that reminds me of INXS from time to time (and I mean the good INXS, around Kick).” – USA Today

EVEREST
“They’re on the druggier, sleepier side of the latest indie-country wave, but their songwriting is way stronger and (gasp!) actually unique, and they play with about two busloads more feel, coherence, and dynamics than anybody else yer Uncle’s had the pleasure to hear.” – RockInsider.com

TIM FINN
“Imaginary Kingdom should shift the spotlight back to Tim Finn as one of the most gifted and extraordinary singer/songwriters of his generation.” – Billboard.com

MISSY HIGGINS
“There is no secret to Higgins’ appeal, with her striking looks and equally striking voice, her natural charm and the honesty of her voice.” – The Courier Mail

JESCA HOOP
“Hoop writes and sings twisty, sprawling, lyrically abstract songs featuring strange sonorities and offbeat rhythms. Her music sounds as if it comes from an imaginary country, and she sings in the accented English of someone from that country” – The New York Times

SONDRE LERCHE
“Sondre Lerche is one of the most important, creative and engaging songwriters of this generation. ” – Daily Texan

ADAM LEVY
“If [Norah Jones] made a less sterile roots-pop record that explored the sneaky dynamics of sexual control, it might sound like this.” – Offbeat Magazine

MEIKI
“I arrived in time to catch a gorgeous set from Meiko, a waitress at Hotel Café, and from what I heard last night, my pick for their next big success story.” – Josh Jackson, Editor, PASTE Magazine

INGRID MICHAELSON
“...vibrant, calypso-soaked gem… With her sweet but mellow lounge-pop harmonies, she sounds like a Norah Jones for the argyle-sock set.” – Rolling Stone about “The Way I Am”

PAT MONAHAN of Train
“…Frontman Monahan remains one of the finest and most accessible singers in modern rock...” – Atlanta Journal Constitution

PETER & GORDON
“...Peter (Asher) and Gordon (Waller) should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for many reasons, including their vocal prowess. They also are part of rock history, as they were the only group Paul McCartney wrote a hit song for – ‘A World Without Love’ – while the Beatles were in business.” – Fox News

JUSTIN PIERRE of Motion Soundtrack
“4 Stars out of 5: Motion City Soundtrack have deftly filled that space between emotional adolescence and responsible adulthood with this set of near-perfect pop.” – SPIN

DUSTY RHODES AND THE RIVER BAND
“Unabashedly retro O.C. sextet brings back the innocence, energy and instrumentation of the ‘60s and ‘70s with its prog rock-meets-the Band debut First You Live.” – Los Angeles Times

ROAN
“...’Stars Align’ launches the album into orbit with hopeful energy, galloping house rhythms and Marcus Bently’s steady pipes. ‘See what you could be / when you know you shine for me,’ Bently urges buoyantly...” – Steve Mizek

JOHNNY LLOYD ROLLINS
“He was playing with the excitement of a young Bruce Springsteen, and I felt like Brian Epstein must have felt when he entered the Cavern in 1961.” – Spencer Leigh, BBC Radio

SEA WOLF
“Silver Lake’s Alex Brown Church might be indie rock’s best songwriter since Conor Oberst.” – Filter

DAM & ABEER, PR & MAHMOUD SHALABI (from Slingshot Hip Hop)
“There’s humor and beauty as well as pride, anger and defiance. Hearing the album whets the appetite for seeing the group play live.” – BBC Radio, Charlie Gillett

PATTI SMITH
“She’s an artist, a poet, and a mother, then onstage, she’s a force of nature, raging, spitting music and spewing poetry. Its fantastic.” – Steven Sebring

CHARLOTTE SOMTHINGS
“Watch out for Charlotte Sometimes, one of 2008’s most bewitching new vocalists.’’– Playback Magazine

MIKE VIOLA (Walk hard Songwriters)
“Viola has a winning way with heartbreaking melodies that don’t turn maudlin... Power pop at its finest.” – Entertainment Weekly

BUTCH WALKER
“Rock’s most sought after producer” – Rolling Stone

MATT WHITE
One of their “10 Artists To Watch” Matt White is absolutely “hard-to-resist” raves Rolling Stone Magazine.
