Ready to accommodate large parties, this lively, longtime establishment on Upper Main Street features heavy, Roman Italian food.
Go for the standard entrées like chicken or eggplant Parmesan. Avoid
the seafood dishes. This is not the place for holiday dining as not
only might you not get in, but the waiting area is cramped and the
kitchen often runs out of the specials and side dishes. Ironically, the
best bets on the menu are the onion rings
and individual pizzas. Try Cisero’s for its inexpensive, massive Sunday
brunch---made to order omelets, lasagna, Belgian waffles, fresh fruit,
eggs Benedict, hamburgers, salad and more. A favorite Park City dessert
is the warm, giant chocolate chip cookie smothered with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Call to be put on a priority waitlist for seating.
We ate here off season ( mid-September) and on a very quiet Monday
night. I had a seafood pasta $25 and my father had the Monday special
My family of 4 ate here Christmas Eve. There was a large party going on
so the waiter (a friendly guy who kept asking us "how things tasted")
informed us that the kitchen was busy so there could be no
substitutions like a green steamed vegetable instead of a pasta
side-dish (the vegetable was an additional $4). My pear Gorgonzola
salad was large & fairly good but the sliced pears themselves were
hard. The best things to order here seem to be simple Italian standards
such as the chicken or eggplant Parmesan. Some of the sauces were odd -
for example the marsala was overly sweet, and shrimp scampi was overly
creamy. Crisp calamari was decidedly not crisp. We didn't bother to
stay for dessert & didn't try any of the pizzas either. When we
returned the chicken marsala & again requested a simple pasta with
olive oil, the waiter finally agreed to ask the chef & brought us a
bowl of pasta & a bottle of olive oil which we self-seasoned along
with salt & pepper - no charge for this (but we paid for the
marsala, no surprise there). Service was quick - almost too quick as
entrees came out before appetizers were cleared away. Dinner for 4
(without dessert) came to $106. As a whole, I'd rate this a 3.5 out of
10. |
